Val des Terres Hill Climb

The hill

• The road itself was built by Guernsey's long-term unemployed in the early 1930s and opened by the Prince of Wales in 1935.
• The first hill climb competition was held in 1946, just after the end of the German Occupation of Guernsey.
• The hill record of 26.56s was set by Alex Summers during the 2022 British Hill Climb Championship.
